New 70-72 ls5 owners thread
#601
I’m currently in the process of restoring my Engine Compartment on my 72 LS5. My car is all original PS, PB, PW, A/C and Auto with 68k miles. It does not have the original Hood and Cowl although, but I may replace those in the future. I’m hoping to have this project wrapped up by the end of the week and enjoy getting her out next weekend and start going to some shows.
Pollen is bad in Ga right now, but I will just have to sacrifice!

Hi 72C3, great looking car! Your engine compartment is stunning.
Just curious, is the pulley on your alternator one of those 2 groove types like I see listed on the NAPA site? Does it line up good with the power steering pump?
Enjoy the ride when you're finished.

Most green interiors were with a green exteriors and some white cars. I have a '71 yellow/green LS5 fully loaded Roadster, only one I have ever seen or heard of, so I am always looking for green interior Corvettes. You just dont see many of them. In '71 the green is coded DG meaning dark green and '70 its just G for green in Corvette Black Book. It is noticeably lighter than the '71 shade and to me it is prettier. Im going to check out the silver/green '70 on ebay now. Thanks for the heads up!

A little more progress on the Engine Bay this week. Antifreeze and Oil Change tomorrow and if all goes well, fire the old gal up!
