Default New Shifter Ball finished

Yeah another boast post I'll try to do something important soon...

parking brake turned out well so the black plastic shift ball looked kinda plain...

As luck would have it, lots of walnut around and some aluminum bar stock

Roughed out

A little buffing

Installed (color looks off but it's from the flash. Same wood and stain as the other pieces, a little darker since there's a lot of end grain)

Hopefully done with the wood trim for awhile

Now to work on the seat slider covers

LOL, there's at least 5 changes in that last pic, (plus one addition) so only 1268 to go

Luckily there isn't actually that much plastic in these interiors when it comes right down to it. Someone suggested the small vent ***** but that tiny slot would be a major pia

Man you are the old Yankee workshop of C-3's.
Nice work I'm impressed.
It looks one off.
Yet it looks like it belongs there.

It's nice (and dangerous) when the various hobbies collide

Absolutely beautiful. More engineering and craftsmanship than GM put into building our cars in the first place
