Default It's Electric!

I know it's been a while since I've posted. But it doesn't mean I haven't been Workin. I'll try to look at where I left off here and fill in. But update that brought me joy. I ran electricity through the car and it didn't start on fire. That's exciting for me.

Default Exhaust hung

FINALLY got the used stainless exhaust hung after 6 years. It took a little bit of time and effort to wrestle it back into place. I won't have to spend too much more time on my back to get this thing running!

Default Update

Really starting to enjoy this car coming together. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!

A few parts on order and I'll have it fired up to be broken in. Once the wires are tucked away and all the gauges and lights and switches function you start to really feel accomplished.

I'll drive it the first dry day after it's broken in. Haha. It could be 12 degrees and I'll fight through it. I been waiting a while for this.

Gonna get it aligned too. But plans are to break in and make functional then finish interior before driving season.

Be careful when you take it for that first ride, IF your face is cold, your gonna crack it from the HUGE grin you're gonna get as soon as you hit the gas!!!

Good thinking...…..two backup carbs in case the front one goes bad! Take some pics on your test drive.

I did a thing! I've been trying to do something to this car for a while. I get elbow deep into something get discouraged and abandon ship. Well I decided to start on carpet. While it's not perfect. I am pretty proud of the outcome . Another trim here and there and I'm gold.

Fuel line interfering with the throttle cable ? Actually looks like yours is on a different point on the lever.

Car runs a little hot. Instead of chasing that, I gutted the dash to pull the speedo and understand why the odometer isn't registering. Found the offending item. Second worm gear it's called. Yay.

has anybody replaced the plastic ones for the metal ones? Is that a good idea or a bad idea?
