Default Ug-Buttley - Would You Pay $250,000?

Bill Mitchell was our beloved C3 designer. Bill Mitchell was a friend of ours. Sir, this is no Bill Mitchell "dream car"...
Nice, cheap try making the association, though without any documentation...

Seem pretty far fetched. He did have two offers that were declined. I have no clue what its worth but it cant be close to what he`s asking. 35k tops would be my guess? Unless he has documents to back up what he`s saying...

Can you imagine someone asking a quarter of a million dollars for an apparently faux Bill Mitchell car that was supposedly conceived in his dreams?

The "Great White" was built for and sold to Bill upon his retirement. End of his custom cars. That's a John Greenwood Turbo GT.

Thanks for.this. Interesting.
It says Greenwood on this one also, I noticed. The cheapest and most expensive C3's on eBay right now bare his name

I have serious reservations the eBay car is in any way even remotely associated with Bill Mitchell.

I too doubt that the car has any connection to Bill Mitchell!

The seller calls his car the "predecessor" to Bill Mitchell's Great White Corvette. That's quite interesting in that the Great White was a 1976 show car, and the seller's Corvette is an 80. He either doesn't know what predecessor means, or he's just completely clueless.

I believe the 76 Great White Corvette was the last dream car that Mitchell oversaw the design of, as he retired in 77. Though an interesting design, there was nothing ground breaking about the car. It was really just a continuing design evolution of the 69 Scirocco/74 Mulsanne Corvette dream car. Shortly after his retirement, GM "sold" Mitchell the Great White.

My guess is that the seller's car is nothing more than an Eckler's Greenwood body kit, installed on an 80 Corvette. It's hard to believe that Mitchell would have anything to do with a car built using off the shelf type parts. That just wasn't his style, as everything Mitchell did was unique and original.

Where are the photos of Bill Mitchell with THAT car? No provenance to prove that's his car, without photos. Lots of 'stuff' on that car that wasn't even available at the time it was built. PPPSSSTT!

Very nice car...for the 1980's.

Interesting how the seller was careful to never say anything about Bill Mitchell actually owning the car or really having anything to do with it. Law suit avoidance!

Is the ebay car in post 1 a Greenwood? Nice car but its a very, very dated build. I could see high 5 figures to the right buyer but not 6 figures.

When someone sells a product and uses another person's persona (photograph) to do it, he owes that person a royalty. This guy is asking for a lawsuit.

Mitchell died in 1988. If he had even anything remotely to do with this vehicle, senility must have already sent in.

I've been to plenty of car shows, but I don't remember too many cars worth a quarter of a mil, sitting in the field with the rest of the flock...

I contacted him a couple of days ago to ask him if he has any proof that this is a bill Mitchell car. Example: "pictures of Bill Mitchell with the car" ,"Any signed documents from Bill Mitchell discussing the car".

I never heard back from him. This is not the first time I have seen this type of scam.
