Yes I have Been MIA Here
But I finally drove my 1974 today; first time since October. It was quite a treat actually. The old girl purred. And that is the Corvette, not my Wife. Or maybe both? I had a number of problems in 2015 (carb, transmission) that seem to be now resolved. The drive was only one hour but we enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to summer.
Pic is a little old but this is near where we stopped for coffee.

Hey Paul! I've seen some of your posts lately and thought that you were just doing some Spring cleaning before your next Ice Cream Run.
It's good to hear you, your wife, and the car are ready for more scenic pics.

I don't know what happened today right. The L-48 engine was so smooth, the TH400 shifted just like a Cadillac transmission should, and the engine oil leak was minimal (about one litre/season). Yes, the 41-year-old car seems to work.
I enjoyed the brief drive today. I always do a one-hour run at the beginning of the season before I get a little more serious on driving any further. This car hummed today.
Last autumn I did some tuning. It might have worked.

On a spring day and you are in a C3 convertible and the engine/transmission hums on the highway. Yes, sometimes over 100km/hr. I sit in the garage later and watch it cool down. Yes, I do watch the car later as I do the polish thing.
Wow, I have a Corvette and it works. Life is good.

Yes, I was pretty happy how it ran yesterday. It has a minor engine oil leak but that has been there for eight years. I lose about one liter (~one US quart) per driving season. So why spend $600-800 to fix it?
I was tempted to go C6 this spring but my computer-illiterate mind said no. Just set the dwell on the points. The dwell was very close. Bring on summer.
