Default I like this a lot

For me, this is the way the factory should have applied the 1978 B2Z anniversarry colors.
In nature, fish/sharks are darker on top, and lighter on the bottom.

I recently had my 1978 Silver Anniversary painted and went thru the same decision challenge you are asking. After sitting down with a corvette restoration auto shop, he suggested to me other 1978 Silver Anniversary corvette owners decided on. Paint it all Silver, one color for now, and you can always paint the bottom half charcoal gray at a later time if you wish. I am glad I took his advice - I just prefer the solid silver color personally for now. My painter said we can paint the charcoal paint over the silver paint on the bottom 1/2 of the car at a reasonable price. I also purchased the Silver Anniversary Decal set - set aside for now. I personally never liked all the SA Decals on the car but I am planning to apply the hood decal set this fall that wraps around the L82 emblems. I recently saw a 1978 SA at a show that was repainted all silver and they added just the Hood Decals. Looks Great.

Lastly, I love the pics on the early thread color scheme showing the Charcoal Gray on the top and Silver on the bottom. Wow if I saw that before I had my 1978 SA painting that is what I would have done. LOOKS SHARP

I also wanted to share with you when I restored my Oyster Interior, I decided to go with the 1979 darker oyster interior carpet verses installing the original 1978 lighter oyster interior carpet suggested by my corvette restoration contact. I am so glad I took his advice - I receive a lot of compliments with the darker 1979 oyster carpet. Like many forum members stated - it is your
personal choice.

In 1977, I had my ‘68 painted dark on top, blending into silver for the same reason… the “fish” look. It was like the Mako show cars of the day, too.

I always thought silver over blue was a real attractive combo. An your interior would fit right in. Colored interiors are kind of coming back in style on new cars. I'd rather have a blue interior than a red one (personally speaking). Strategically, you can get away with a little more bodywork imperfections with silver paint (above the waistline), than with a darker color ...above the waistline, (assuming you get good metallic lay-out, no striping). And imperfections down low (more visible on a darker color), nobody pays attention to anyway down low. Blue is a real nice color when it comes time to sell. You don't see that many silver-blue cars. Only downfall was that was a later C3 color combo..if that matters to you.

Or you could consider classic white. Your interior would make sense. White vettes show off the lines real well, and even Bill Mitchell liked white. To me a good classic white vette actually looks real nice. I have a silver vette. You could get away with blue interior with a silver vette.

So..there are some options
