Pics of 215/70/15s mounted 1969 only
Most specifically is BFG radial TA in the 215/70/15 size.
I'm torn between buying repop F70-15 Goodyear speedways and getting a modern radial.
I like the look of the old; but not so much the cost or performance. I'd like the most plain sidewall possible; the BFG fits that bill.
However everyone chimes in with "I run 'X' it's great" and usually on a wrong year with different size flares or rims.
I've tried searching but to no luck. Lots of 225, 245 or above pictures. I don't really care for the big square tire on an early c3...they look weird. Unfortunately we are quickly running out of tires that look vintage.
Please and thank you!
Love the look of the correct stuff; pic for attention

I have used a combination of everything you are asking for on my 69.
When I bought my car, it had a set of brand new 245/60 15 tires. They were 20 plus years old so I quickly scrapped them. A friend had a set of 215/70s that were already mounted so I used them for about 2 weeks while waiting for the new tires I ordered. No complaints about the ride or handling. I bought 245/60 redlines and prefer the look and the ride as it feels much more solid.
For PV judging a few years ago, I had repro F70 RWL firestone wide ovals. The ride was pure garbage. The car was all over the road, especially on the highway. Flat spots, etc for the first few minutes of driving after having the car sit for a week. If you plan to drive the car I wouldn't even consider this option.
For Bloomington and NCRS judging en route to Duntov at regional and National I had a set of original 69 date coded Goodyear F70 redlines. While I only drove a few miles between trailer and the judging points, this is the look that I prefer on these cars.
sorry, no pics of 215s

Beautiful car and thank you for sharing.
I DO plan on driving the car, and a lot. I was driving it fairly regularly since getting it on the road but the 42yr old (yes, not a typo) tires gave me a pretty big scare the week before last and I don't want to drive the car again until it has new safe tires on it. Not that it was smart to drive it much anyhow, but it wasn't bad in the dry. I got caught in the rain and it was literally like driving on ice. Nearly looped it going 15 mph and I'm used to driving on drag radials in the rain.
Thanks for the 245 pics. It was high on my list but I think
I like that more stretched look of the 215 although it's hard to see above.
Hopefully others can chime in as well.

A body off restoration was just completed on the 69 below, by a fiend of mine in his shop. I haven't been able to reach him this morning, but I'm pretty sure the car has P215/70R15's on it.

The F-70 Goodyear Speedway Specials on my '70 are like other's have described ..... it doesn't drive like a new Camry! It does look, drive and handle exactly like it did when the car was brand new, and to me, that is part of the allure of piloting a 46 year old big-block C3.

Thanks guys!
Staylor, is that an 8" rallaye? For some reason I thought the 68s were slightly more narrow.
I actually kind of like those silvertowns from a shape standpoint. The radial TA seems like a more squared off tire.
I'd like a solid black wall but I can always flip them.
