He has my condolences. He lost his virginity to a used, repainted C3 without the original engine. Perhaps he should have waited until the real thing came along.

Me, too. Also a used and repainted C3, but the numbers matched.

My car is the poster boy for redheaded step child, None of the numbers match on the drive train parts missing just to name a few problems. Love the car as much as my trucks. The smile while driving proves it,

You seem to be a rather rare owner who admits the numbers don't match, yet enjoys the car just the same. Never quite followed how a replacement block turned the car into a phony or somehow a replica. Wonder what's held in lower regard, a rubber bumper or a NOM? IMHO numbers match is an absolute requirement if the car is presented as a survivor or low mileage original. Otherwise I personally may have a preference for numbers but never considered a NOM to be a lesser car.

I saw that video quite some time ago when that '73 was for sale here on the forum. The Dutch Texan didn't own the car he was just test driving it.

Well the VIN on a 73 says if it came with a BB or not, so at least he can be sure it was always a BB car. I have heard of many people getting screwed on small block cars of the earlier years (pre 72) when they think they are BB cars and they are not.

ANYWAYS, If anyone is interested in seeing this car being brought back from the dead, below is the link to the playlist. I owned this car while the Dutch Texan test drove it. Enjoy!!
