Default Resident C3 Guru, thanks

I have a member of the Corvette Forum since 2004 previously posting on the C4, C5, C6, and C7 forum. I have been reading the C3 site for a year or so and posting on this side for 3-4 months.

I have to say that Alan71 is a great asset to the C3 side. He has answered many questions about C3s in an authoritative and accurate fashion. Whenever someone asks anything about “correct parts” he is quick to either provide an answer or point the OP to a source to find the answer. As a newbie to the C3 world, I myself have already posted some questions that he probably thought were dumb and got a chuckle out of, yet he has patiently answered these questions.

I will say there are some on the forum (especially the latter model forums) who just live to try and belittle folks that they believe they know more than, Alan71 is not one of those people.

So just to sum up; Alan, thanks for sharing your expertise.

Completely agree. I've am on record with my admiration for what Alan does for this forum. There are many others as well who contribute regularly as well - Dub, Wilcox , Mooser (sp?) are examples. Sure I'm missing folks. I just hope to learn enough to contribute one day.

Agreed on all points.
And adding to that, his 71 is super clean, insanely clean in fact. And he has about a billion pictures of every part, nut and bolt to prove it.....

He's my idol and role model!
Always willing to help and offer encouragement!
Hope we can meet in person someday, maybe at Carlisle or at our Pa. regional in August next year

Could not agree more.
Alan71 has answered all of my newbie question posts.
And other posts from the likes of DUB and Wilcox are a great resource.
I too have been on other forums where members only try to disparage others.

In a similar thread thanking Alan, a number of members suggested that he write book. He certainly could and if he did I'd buy it.

Ever notice that you don't see Batman and Alan71 in the same room.....coincidence???
I don't think so...just sayin...
And DUB is up there too..in fact theres alot.of guys that helped me out here. Thank you to all of the superheroes of the c3 world.

These guys are the coolest and dont have a holier than thou attitude... they answer the qustions and give a little back story of their experiences. Not the typical " you can't or you shouldn't or you won't."

I bought a butchered '68 convertible that probably should have been a parts car.....but I couldn't accept that.

Alan definitely had doubts about my purchase.....

But he has always encouraged me to do the best I can with the car!
