Default Wipers Not Working

I have a 1978 Anniversary the wipers stopped working so I went to change the fuse and instead of a fuse there is some type of plug in the fuse box with two wires coming out one goes into an external fuse the other seems to go into the wiring harness.
I've never seen anything like this anyone have any ideas?

This is a 79 fuse box I found just for illustrative purposes to help with questioning.
It's from Willcox corvette.

The second is from Pospic.

Your wires are coming out of the space where a fuse is shown?
I notice it's right next to the ACC spot which to my understanding is for accessories.

Post pics of it. It will help a lot. is it a resettable fuse? I had to use one to troubleshoot a shorted trailer harness inan old cherokee a number of years ago

Post pics..

The wipers should have a 25 amp fuse in the fuse box.. Unfortunately for you, wiper issues on a 1978-1982 car tend to most often be related to either a defective wiper switch, or if you have pulse wipers a defective wiper module.

If the issue is the switch, here is how to test it and below that is how you clean and rebuild it.

If the issue is the controller, you can by-pass it to see if that is your issue.. here is how you do that. https://willcoxcorvette.com/corvette...-harness-78-79
