Silent Restorer
I was just thinking, as I was browsing the forum. This community is probably larger than we think. I for one post very little. Been a member since 2012. I am doing a full restoration on a early 68. I have done much of the nitty gritty work as far as sandblasting and refurbishing most chassis parts, frame and most interior items. I still have quite a ways to go. Those of you that have been or are going through this understand the time commitment along with life and family. But I soldier on like the rest of you. I should have posted before and after pictures but just don't find the time. Sorry. I know I ramble here but want to thank all of you. I have been helped and gain knowledge everytime I visit.
Thank you.
Thank you.

You are right 2009. I think I didn't want to admit I have had this project so long. But live does get in the way. I will take some time and post pictures.

So an early 68 you say, I have a 68 with a build date of November 27, 1967. Keep plugging along and we all look to seeing pictures of your ride soon.

Continue as you have been!

Congrtas on the rebuild. Im 55 miles northeast of you. Ive got a oct 67 build. I plan on a frame off in the future just to pretty it up. I havent tracked down my motor yet. Its still floating around in Maine. I may buy a numbers matching 68 0r 67 in the future but this baby is for driving.

I think twinpack is probably right, the CF community is larger than many realize. I'm an example of one of those guys that accesses the forum regularly for info, ideas, or just to see what's going on, but I rarely post anything.
Progress on my '75 Convertible has been slow because of house projects, work, school, family, etc. - You know, Life. However, I can come here and see other people's projects and it gives me a little motivation to put in at least a few minutes on the Corvette and not give up on it. So I'll say "Thank You" to all those that do post regularly.
Take Care,
Chris

A little entertainment inspired by all of you.
Here's my first sight of it and the day I picked it up.
Here's getting ready to lift the body.
Here's the chassis and grand kids.
Sample of parts.
Speed/Tach Before?After
Headlights Before/After
Boxes of prepped parts.
You get the ides. Way too many pictures to show. I documented every step. The frame is primed and I'm finishing up parts in preparation of my chassis build this winter. I am pretty much just trying to refurbish all the original parts I can. It's not going to be a NCRS restoration but it should turn out to be a nice driver. I will post things as I go along.

Nice job! I really like how you wrapped and packaged up all the parts after refinishing. It will be just like Christmas opening all that stuff to put it back together.

the NCRS restorations are nice, but the way you are doing it, you can drive and not worry about putting a scratch on it. But it will be about like new to drive. GLWResto
