Interesting photos!!
It illustrates why cycling the actuators without removing the hoses on the actuator's pipes can damage the seal!

I repaired one on my 68 coupe years ago, by using a razor saw to cut the can off, make a seal out of diaphragm rubber and then gently soldered the can back on. A new GM replacement was around $100.00, thirty-five years ago! The seal eventually wore out.
The original seal rolled over in one spot. Lou.
