Default Mystery yellow and black wire in my 72.

I was changing the covering on the harness that goes along the back firewall behind the seats. I came across a yellow wire with a black stripe that seemed to have been broken in the harness. When I continued to expose the wires it wasn't attached to anything. It was going towards the passenger side. It also came from the front of the car. I checked the wiring diagram and didn't see it on there. I also have 2 black wires that were not attached to anything. All the other wires are on the diagram and are in perfect condition. The covering looked like I was the first one in there.
Any ideas where it goes or what it does.

Did you have the factory alarm horn relay over behind the passenger seat, might could be for that

It didn't appear to go thru with the rest of the wires. I will check again after dinner.

Hi 540,
The alarm flasher connection has a yellow wire but I don't think it typically had a black tracer.
?
The only wires I can think of that ran across the bulkhead are the wires for the glove box light, the right side door ajar switch, and the alarm (if the car has one).
Regards,
Alan

It's not that yellow wire. I traced that one. This one has a black stripe on it. There is nothing like it on the diagrams. And I traced it all the way to the front. It goes into the connector where the rear wires connect to.

This is the connector that runs to the rear of the car. You can see the yellow with black stripe in there. The diagram shows 6 wires to the rear of the car. This one has a few more.
