Congrats
Congrats and that's a great looking car! I'm also a brand new C3 owner in MA and picked up my 81 last week.
Have be fun and enjoy driving her. I hear ya on time being tight but we should get a MA section going. It would be fun just to see where members are and people can post up if they are going to be out or hitting events.

I'm in Millbury, a border town of Worcester. Yes, we have a snow-covered yard with piles of snow (although the warm temps this week mean it's disappearing quickly!).
I may join a club but don't expect to be a very active member. I own a business and don't have a lot of free weekend time when most gatherings occur. Mostly, I want to get back to driving for pleasure so I'm more likely to participate in some of the cruises. Otherwise, I'll just cruise solo up into northwestern MA where the roads are fun and traffic is sparse!

Go out towards the end of RTE 2, follow google maps towards the back way into North Adams,. there's a winding mountain road, that if you can get there with no one in front of you, its a hell of a good time screaming up that road, just be careful on the backside, there's a 180* hair pin that has a restaurant on the Apex, beautiful views when you stop.
I've been up there. A good friend of mine owns Berkshire Transmission in North Adams. That road is amazing.

Very cool car and color.
Congratulations on buying a vintage corvette that you can actually drive and enjoy. You chose very wisely . A lot of guys buy something they really can't enjoy , or is too ragged out that the whole experience becomes a burden .
Smart buy.

Congrats...my first c3 was a 69 as well. The blue on blue is a great combo. I saw where you mentioned that you need to fix the parking brake to pass inspection. In MA can't you register it as an antique and be exempt from inspections? I've had 5 c3s and all of them had non functioning parking brakes and never had to worry about it because in Texas and most other states you can register it as an antique and not have to get it inspected.

From what I can tell, MA doesn't exempt anything that's registered to be driven on the road from safety inspections. Vehicles older than 25 years (I believe) are exempted from emissions, but not safety, inspections.

Beautiful Car! Congratulations!
You're just up the road from me, so I'll probably see it in person at some of the shows or cruise-nights in the area. If you haven't seen it, here's the post in the regional forum with the major events:

Thats true. Parking brakes, horn, signals, all lights and wipers. My first trip in the guys checked it out, then looked it over again. The next year they just smiled cause I had done a few things more to clean it up. They knew everything worked!!!!
