Default exhaust manifold help

My 79 has cracked exhaust manifold, bought new one from local parts store, quickly realized they all have the same aftermarket made in china replacements that do not fit correctly, called corvette america same made in china. Tried ecklers, sales person could not tell me where part was manufactured so no sale. Are there any quality made in USA parts out there? Or are we stuck with made in china, any help appreciated.

Short answer is no, everything is made in China. Search on Ebay for used or post in the parts for sale or wanted section.

The aftermarket replacements are garbage. They are not true against the head so they leak. I have bought both from eBay and the forum with great results.

I have one for sale, brand new in box, in the parts section. Its $90 + shipping. I got it from ecklers. The ones on my vette now are ecklers and don't leak. I can also sell you them because I'm getting headers as we speak.

Believe it or not, a brand new exhaust manifold is available from your local GM dealer parts department. Part number 372243. It a little pricey, but if your looking for a quality replacement, that's way to go. Perhaps if you ask nicely, you can get it wholesale.
