Best regards,

No. The inner surfaces are painted a dark brown.

Original paint code is D8262J single stage flex with Dupont 2322S added.

As Mike said they're painted...it's (despite the flex agent added) a single stage paint with no clear coat over it.

Masking it all off is the problem....it's worth taking your time...even experienced painters freak out when they have to do something round.
They make a light glue backed masking paper, it's white...obviously prep, scuff sand remove the lights and mask remainder, but you can take your finger and press real hard around the bucket edge thru the sticky back paper, which will create an indent that you can CAREFULLY cut out the tailight buckets....then you can spray.

Preparation 97 1/4% Paint 2 3/4% LOL.

The 'trick' to masking off the body paint and not having some ugly ragged edge where the two paint colors meet requires a bit of effort.

You need a small bottle of touch-up paint that matches the body color. Then you mask off the body with painter's tape or pro paint tape so that only the inside surface of the tail lamp area will get the new paint color.

This is the "key" step: Use the touch-up brush with the regular body color and apply paint at the junction between tape and tail lamp opening. Why? Because the body color paint will fill the uneven areas under the edge of the tape. Allow to dry long enough to apply the brown color inside the lamp area; then spray the brown color. Once the brown paint has set up enough to pull the tape, do it. Just go slowly so you don't pull any "new" paint loose.

This will give you a "seamless" joint between the body color and the brown tail lamp area.

P.S. Since the rear valance is flexible material, any paint used on it MUST have a flex agent added to the base paint...so that it can flex with the panel. Prior to painting, those areas need to be scuffed lightly and cleaned well.
