Default "Blow & Glow" Fuses

Has anyone used, or have an informed point of view on those fuses (blade style - all amp applications) that evidently have a tiny LED light that glows if it blows? Like many of us, I've blown a couple of fuses and we all know the pain of being a contortionist that, first finding then replacing it presents. But, based on personal experience anything Chinese, especially automotive, forces me to think twice.
The concept seems brilliant (pun) and I'd like to try it. I think.

Sounds like a cool concept for our hard to reach fuse panels.

requires an additional wire - Gnd. built into the fuse box.
No Led can function without power and Gnd.
so you can't just replace a standard fuse, with a fused Led indicator.

Nope - just simply replace them.

Has a resister in series with dual reverse LEDs (so you can plug them in either way). The LED will illuminate when the fuse is blown, as long as a sufficient load is still present in the circuit- that provides enough current for the LED to show a fault.

I'm using them-

Have a blown fuse wired in w/ my fuel pump roll-over /impact valve to easily show me a problem.

And if you want to use them but have glass fuses- thus will handle the conversion-

I replaced my fuses with them about two years ago.. None have blown so far so I can't tell you if they light up yet... It's so dang hard to see the fuses,I thought I would give them a try...

I dont use fuses, when i wire from scratch i run breakers,
And if keep the old fuse panel in my 69 rather than any fuse i will run breakers like this,

Made to replace a glass fuse, i ran breakers on many things always worked great but like all things might not be a cats cup o tea....

I changed all of the fuses on my 86 with these. I found them at my parts store when I needed a new fuse, and ended up just replacing all of the fuses. It has been over a year now with no problems.

They won't work on my C3 because of the blade type, but I think it answered your question about if we use them.

Littelfuse manufactures the glass cartridge fuse (AGC) used in older C3's in a "Smart Glow" version that will glow when it 'blows'. Crutchfield carries them and I'm sure that google will turn up more sources.

They're still a PITA to change which is why I changed over to the adapters and blade fuses shown by Richard 454
