2023 C3 of the Year Finalist - Modified
So true, people always asking hows the Vette coming along? They seem to not understand the amount of work and think there is little progress. Generally because they have no personal reference point for such a project. My approach was to break it down into many smaller projects and focus on getting that done. If you think about the whole thing it can get overwhelming and you get disillusioned. Even if your enjoying it you still get tired of it at times. Thats where the discipline to do something comes in. When you don't want to work on it you should do something anyway. The interest will then come back. But if you don't keep pushing and there is no progress for a while there is danger of giving up.

So it had the grille headlight kit when you bought it. Any info on that, who's kit? and who installed it?
Great job on converting it back to OEM. Any other before pics of the nose?

Congratulations on a job WELL DONE!
Thank you for sharing the photos and videos of your beautiful '68. As stated above many of us share your same feelings of initially spending too much on our cars, myself included. You should feel so proud of your accomplishment. Your hard work and dedication to completing the restoration has definitely paid off. When you perform all /most of the work on these cars yourself and see the final result like yours there is no better feeling in the world. I think it also creates a special bond between you and the car making it just another family member. (Does that make any sense?) Anyone can go buy a car that is already restored, and that's ok too, but there is just something special about working and turning the wrenches on them yourself. I like the license plate and the subtle addition of the new Stingray fender emblems.:thumbs
Now that it's finished I hope you take the time to enjoy it and DRIVE IT!
Best of luck!

Actually, now that you mention it, before this I built a 2 person airplane from plans, a Zenith Ch-701. Next I am thinking about a Glen-L wooden sailboat or another plane, a Rans S-7S Courier on floats. But for a little while I'll just take a break.

Wow, looks great! I hope to retire next month and plan on spending lot's of time in the garage. I've got the (6) car's lined up. I hope they turn out half as nice as yours.

Very well done. I did the same thing in 4-1/2 years, but it takes constant focus and lots of money....and obviously time. After it was all done, it seemed to take no time at all. While you are doing it, it feels like it has been a long time.
I would like to do it all again, and would if I won the lottery, but unless that happens, I will just be happy with what I did.
You did a fine job and should be proud.
