Default NOS Big Block, rarity? value etc

I know value varies and depends on who needs it wtc. I have a block and I am thinking about selling, but dont want to do so without an ida of what its worth. It is a two bolt, block and pistons just as it came in the crate, the crate is with it but was taken out for inspection. It is a 8999289 with a 73 date and "CE" counter exchange, crate engine, or service replacement or whatever you want to call it.

I appreciate the info, thanks, Tim

A 73 454 short block, about $750-$1200 depending on who wants it. Nothing really special about it.
