My guess is a Jerico NASCAR road race trans with a super tall 1st gear. You got to slip the clutch a lot to get moving out of the pit but once moving you have an actual 4 gears to work with instead of 3.

BLUF: I don't know much about this so forgive me if it's a stupid question, but I was shocked by how jerky that steering looked. Is that normal?

I feel like my car would fly off the road if I moved the wheel like that. That was cool to watch though.

Very normal for a race car that has no grip. You are either counter steering from the loss of rear grip or sawing at the steering wheel to find front grip when it pushes. Known as "11/10ths driving" :-)

The Turn 1 footage is an example of sawing at the steering wheel to try and find front grip.

Looks like lots of fun he's having there,... God I wish we had a track like that to race on.
You could see the spin coming before it happened, he was going much faster into the braking zone than previous laps.
The saying goes...if you don't spin out occasionally your not trying hard enough!!

Here are a couple pictures of Jody's Corvette, at Watkins Glen a few years ago. The car is very fast, and so is Jody as a driver.
