If installing aftermarket wheels(Cragar SS or Torque Thrusts) in 15 inch will they clear the brake caliper without having to use spacers. If they won't work what size rim do I need to go to that will clear the caliper? This is on a 75 C.3

It's not the diameter or the rim, that you need to be concerned with, when putting aftermarket wheels on a C-3 (as long as they're at least 15"). It's an interference issue with the spokes on the inside of the wheel, being able to clear the calipers, as the calipers are significantly wider than most calipers.
American Racing made a Torque Thrust wheel especially for Corvettes, to clear the calipers.

15 inch thru 17" dia. can interfer with parking brake bracket.
18" rim larger are past the E- bracket.
after market wheels with correct backspace fit fine.
any rim width wider than 10" will create a problem.
your target wheel size should be 8"-9" width, 4 " backspace, ... choose Dia.
Ideal tire fit for 75 tire 245-255 .
keep your overall Tire Diameter same as original.

I tried to install a set a Cragar SS but the brake calipers didn't clear. Had to use a 1/2" spacer....did not want to do that so I installed a set of American Racing Torque Thrust II...been loving it ever since!

I have American Racing TTO and had to have 8mm spacers made to clear calipers. I like the look of the originals so that was the trade off.

I have 17" American Racing Torq Thrust II on my 1975 Convertible. They have 4" backspacing. My tires are 235/55-17 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's. The diameter of stock a tire size is 27.4" and mine is 27.2". The width of stock a tire is 8.9 " and mine is 9.3". No rubbing, relocation of E-brake cable and they fill the wheel well very nicely.

A lot of aftermarket wheels do not have the spokes clearanced for the Corvette calipers. If you look at our brakes, you can see that the caliper extends past the wheel mounting surface on the brake disc by a little bit. That is the issue.
Some wheels are designed for the that and the manufacturer knows. The only other option is to test fit a wheel prior to putting tires on it.

Just put these on. Had to use the spacers and longer bolts available from Cragar. No big deal.

Some great looking wheels there!
I don't see any balance weights on any of them. They can surely not be that perfect? What do you guys do? (see my other post about balance weights) Truckerlary had some interesting info - couldn't get "clip-on" weights on my aftermarket "original style" wheels, but presumably TT2s will take them?

However, most enthusiasts, in the name of appearance, put the weights somewhere on the inside of the wheel. If you can obtain some of the "slim" weights, you can possibly put the weights right on the centerline of the wheel, and they'll still clear the calipers.

you add stick on weights just behind the spokes for balancing front edge, for no visible weights on the outside.
any decent tire shop knows how to do this.
