Just like my Vette, I like my "Harley" to be outside the mainstream.

Ok other motorcycles can play too.

I have this 1988 Harley Heritage with 26k mikes and $18,000 in custom upgrades and chrome. 6 speed polished gear box, fatty apes, Sampson mini cholo fishtails, 80 spoke wheels, chrome brakes, chrome front end, chrome nacelle, custom paint, chrome controls, stainless brake lines and cables. 48 mm SS carb and air cleaner. New wide white tires. Every thing new has 1,000 mikes. This bike looks, rides and runs like new.

Running at Great Lakes Dragaway a long time ago about month after I got it together. Rigid 74 inch Shovel. The tech inspector said that if I was crazy enough to run it he wasn't get in the way. People find it hard to believe that in the early 80's HDs were out of fashion. Back then when I spent ten bucks at a dealer they were pleased to make the sale.

First Harley was a 1982 Sportster. Next was a 1978 ElectraGlide 1200 Shovelhead. Then a 1991 Heritage Softail and a 1969 Flathead Servicar three wheeler. Then a 1995 UltraClassic Evo motor. Current bike is a 2010 UltraClassic Cherry/Merlot red. Wife rides a Custom Softail.

I remember the early to mid 80's at Harley dealers. Harley was hurting. The sticker price on my 1982 Sportster was $4,100. When I told the dealer I'd give him 4k even, tax and everything, he said yes, I'll take it! I don't think he'd sold a bike in weeks. When Harley came out with the Evo motors in the mid 80's, things really turned around for them.

My 2010 Ultra Classic. May be my last one. Getting close to retirement now and just not sure I want to sink another 30k into a new one.

No need to ever buy another one . The newer bikes are the best built ever. I plan on keeping my 2010 Heritage Classic forever.

Default 2nd Harley, 1st Vette

Currently both are 2007 models, the Vette a Z06 and the Harley an Electra Glide Classic. First was a 1995 Fatboy....some weekends we have to flip a coin to decide which one we want to cruise in that day.
