swap 350 engine to 454 engine

I guess that depends if you want it to look like a big block Corvette engine or just want it to be functional, inexpensive and easy to work on? The correct style Corvette big block pulleys and brackets are not cheap.
I suggest you pick up a 68-74 AIM, it will show you exactly what parts are needed and how they get installed if you want the Corvette parts.
I put a 454 in my 77 also, correct looking parts were not an issue. Put the alternator on one side and the ps pump on the other. Good luck with your swap.

if your running power steering and A/C you almost have to use corvette specific BB.
brackets and pulleys, to make everything fit under the hood.
No Power steering, or A/C you can use almost any chevy brackets and pulleys.

Yes, the original BB vettes used a short pump.

I did mine on a budget in my 76. you do not have to mess with the booster. Hedman headers fit just fine. I went with a short water pump and electric fan myself. I have both the p/s pump and alt on the left side and did it with aftermarket crank and water pump pulleys. the p/s pulley is a double pulley and the alt brackets were a b/b bracket on the bottom and the actual s/b bracket on the top, using a spacer at the head mount. Been running running this for a few years. The belts, I had to switch out a couple times till I got the right alignment and length.
