Default 73 Speedometer Cable

I'm getting close to finishing the car after 5 years. I have installed a T5, 5 speed. The car was previously a 4 speed.

The speedometer cable originally connected to the right side of the 4 speed. The T5 connects on the left side.

The AIM shows the 4 speed cable and the Auto cable coming through the firewall at different locations ( I think). For my T5 it would be better for the cable to come through the firewall as a automatic cable would.

I am having trouble locating the hole in the firewall ( or where the hole should be) in the firewall for a automatic cable.

Does anyone have a picture of a 73 firewall with a automatic where the cable comes through?

Sorry for the long post, it's a bit confusing.

Thanks
Mark Potter

Here is the firewall on my 73.
You can see the cable enter between the washer motor and the brake booster.

Hope this helps.

Yes, just to left of the throttle cable? You run a upper and lower cable then. That helps. I'm hoping there is a hole in mine or a knockout, but I can make a hole if need be. Thank You

Yes, that is the tach cable. I just when out and checked. Was just using old photo. The speedometer cable enters on the firewall beside the booster.
Sorry for the mistake. If you need, I will take a photo of the spot and yes
the speedometer is in two sections.

Donnie

Just found this photo. You can see the cable about half way on the right of the booster entering the firewall.

Excellent. I was just out looking at my car. I don't have power brakes but I did find what looks to be rubber plug right about where your cable comes through. I had never considered the cable would be on that side of the booster, but it make sense. I'll go through at that point. Thanks for the pictures.
