Just had to share as I continue working on a Saturday night. Getting closer and closer to being back on the road. Got my differential back from Tracdogg, new u-joints and caps installed, exhaust wrapped for new fiberglass spring, new batwing and tongue bushings… New QA1 shocks and heim end adjustable strut rods to go!

That's something to think about. Exhaust heat on a fiberglass spring would probably have the car sagging in no time.

That's why they have a metal heat shield that is installed below the spring (and between spring and exhaust pipes).

Yep, mine has said shield (although it's pretty rough looking and a bit damaged). I'll likely put it back on for extra protection, but after all of this work wanted to wrap the pipes to insure no potential issues down the road as well. (Plus, it's just not working on the Vette unless it requires me to perform a task that I've never done before, only to realize that now that I have the experience I'll likely never do it again...)
