No, never. The trim tag for 1970 is the same format for all trim tags from 1968 through to 1972. All should use the same fonts for everything. Then at some point they changed the fonts for the individual color codes in 1973.

As Alan stated, its thick! I noticed that right away also.

What an idiot for even including such childish laughable tripe in the auction.

The car was special ordered by an Arab Prince who traveled to the GM plant to pick up the car off the assembly line. He had ordered it in Bridgehampton Blue but when he arrived to pick up the car he did not love the color and asked if it could be redone in Black. His wish was granted and it was repainted in black for him. A week after he took possession of it he lost the car in a poker game. The guy he lost it to sold it to a guy named Roy who eventually restored the car back to its original Bridgehampton Blue color. He enjoyed the Corvette in England until about 1997 when he moved to the United States and brought the car with him. He then sold the car to a friend of his in about 2001. This guy then sold the car to Gould Auctions who auctioned it off to a guy who then sold it to the current owner in 2004. Whew....long story, but one of those stories that someone could not have just made up and the documentation supports i

He purchased this car in 2004 and it came with a binder full of interesting documentation showing this car had spent a good portion of its life in England. He decided to reach out to one of the previous owners to try and get some more history on this car. Well, what he learned was pretty wild and is a story that is too good not to be true and is documented in an email. Here is the story which is believed to be factual:

Undeniable proof its documented in an a email!!!

There is a dealer here in Long Island, that was selling a "all matching" Corvette in the $25K range. When I asked him if he had checked the numbers on the car, he told me there was no need to and if I wanted to I could hire an expert to check them I could do so. I told him that the numbers were easily found on the engine pad and could easily be accessed. He told me he new but again there was no need to check them.

How can you respond to someone like that?????? Did not even bother going to see it even though it looked like a nice car. So lots of "interesting" people, to put it politely involve in these kind of cars!!! Ike

Some of these auctions are special.

This one shows an 11k mile car, cough, http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Chevrol...lZSRzE&vxp=mtr

This guy apparently think that the car being purchased at Yenko means it's worth more. Maybe if it was tuned by them, but says nothing of that. They are asking real strong money for a 350 hp car. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Chevrol...hZOA-1&vxp=mtr

There are over a dozen things either missing or wrong with the engine compartment alone. (I've high-lighted some of the issues.)

Additionally the front grilles aren't from a 1970 and the fender side grilles are painted incorrectly.
