I removed my steering column to fix some stuff on it + repaint it, I went to put it back in and forgot the positions of the shims that came out of the lower dash mount. I thought they were both on the top of the column bracket between the column and the dash mount but it gives me an un-even gap around the dash cut out area. if I put 2 on the left top side and 2 on the bottom right side the column sits perfect up in the dash cavity.
so my question is do the shims have to be the same on one side or can I flip them as described to get a better fit that I like ?
