wheel size recomendations on my 70 black c3
I am a new owner of a restored 70 black c3 big block 454 car now with a built 350 with chrome hooker headers and sidepipes. I want to replace the stock rally wheels with something chrome like the crager sst's my dilemma is what size to get to look nice without any modifications. the car has too much wheel space as it has 235/60/15 on presently and I was thinking a 235/55/17 would help fill the wheel gap and make the car look nicer. please any suggestions and pictures of tire size/fitment/photos would greatly be appreciated as I am not sure what offset to get as they come in a 5. 6. 10. 12 positive offset.. as I like the deep dish look, also I'm not sure if staggered looks better or I should get all 4 the same?? any help greatly appreciated.. I will post picts of my car soon thank you all!!!

Melting Slicks
There is a sticky at the top of the c3 tech section that covers wheel and tire upgrades. Browse through it, lots of eye candy and tech help. 17s look great on c3s, but there is a bigger selection of tires in 18". C3s basically come with 26"to 27" diameter tires, if you want to have a closer distance from tire to body you need to lower the suspension. Putting taller tires on, well we are not driving 4x4s here. Tire Rack is an excellent reference point for looking at tire sizing and specs. T

A 235/60r15 is a bit short though. A 245/60R15 or 255/60r15 (factory optional on later c3s) will fill out the arch much better. I think a lot of people run 245/60r15 on the front and 255/60R15 on the rear for a slight stagger.
Any 8" wide, 4" backspace wheel will fit the same as the factory wheels. Above that you'll need to measure (I'm running 17x9.5 wheels on all 4 corners, but required some modifications to fit). I believe I've read that Cragars require spacers or the wheel will hit the brake calipers.
