Default Seat Belt Light Procedure

Does anyone know the proper procedure for the "Fasten Seat Belt" light in the dash for a 75 Vette?

If memory serves me right, the seat belt light would come on regardless of whether the seat belt was fastened or not for approximately 30 seconds then turn off? Then turn back on again, when engine started and turn off only when you fasten the drivers side seat belt only? If drivers side seat belt was not fastened with engine running it would never turn off? Does it have any effect whether in park, drive, etc. Any effect on the passenger side? Is there a pressure sensor on the drivers side only?

In other words, does anyone know the proper "seat belt light" procedure?

The early C3s had the light coming on at key-on every time, regardless of being buckled or number of occupants. The reset button would then need to be pressed to kill the light, or it would stay on until key-off.

Interesting where is the reset button? Does a 75 have one? Mine stays on all the time!

Thanks for the replies everyone.

No, the 75 model year did not have a "Fasten Seat Belt" reset button.

Anyone know the procedure for the 75?
