NOTHING, I have walked away from it for a few months.
I have half the valve stems seals replaced and the Tranny pan gasket replaced.
I need to do something else for a while. No incentive to get it done.
Need to check the timing chain before putting the plugs back in.
Not planning on driving it this year, too many other projects creeping up.

My 79 broke broke and broke more - So I went to the dark side and threw away all of my tools. But I would someday like a restored 68 C3!

Just found that a seal in the P/S pump has 'gone South' and that most of the fluid has drained out on the floor. Gotta get up the motivation for digging out that hidden POS so I can rebuild it. The P/S pump has got to be one of the most difficult removals in a C3.

At least, there are no problems with the hoses, control valve, or power cylinder which I rebuilt several years ago!!

Didn't happen this week, but about six weeks ago second gear in my THM 350 decided to go away for no particular reason and ended up having the transmission rebuilt and a shift kit installed since it was apart. That made my wallet a little lighter to the tune of $1300.00. But now the transmission shifts great and feels like it probably did 39 years ago when it left the factory. I'm now waiting for the next adventure with this car but I love my 78 Pace Car!

I hate it when things break. That means that I'm stuck waiting on parts again.

Getting gas at the pump. Car won't start. Dead battery. Called my wife for some jumper cables. She arrives , gives me a jump.
A woman at the other pump said to me , isn't nice when your wife bails you out.

Ironically, my car is in the shop today having a rebuilt steering box installed and so is my portable jump charger. I don't recall the brand that I carry in the car but it is in this category of these:

Amazon Amazon

I have been without cables more times than I care to remember. So I bought a heavy duty set. I have them in the car at all times.

Aren't people hell? My wife would have brought me a floor jack if I needed it.

Passenger side power window stopped working and lights dimmed when you tried it. Took the door panel off and realized that the wires were routed between motor and sharp edge of access hole. When the window hits the bottom stop the motor flexes inboard and wore through the wire insulation over time. Easy fix this time but it's always something.

The engine block. Cylinder wall decided to crack allowing water into the oil. And oil into the cylinder. None of it good.
so much for freshening up a 45 yr old block.

A couple of days ago, close to home, thank God, clutch pedal went to the floor. Nursed it home. Turned out top linkage rod, from pedal, snapped in two. What a beatch to get out!!! Waiting for parts.

I actually thought when I typed that, Lord, don't let something fall on her or something else happen right there in the garage!
