I just can’t get used to the Steering Wheel

I prefer the original wheel and all of the other seemingly pain in the *** things that come with these cars. I like the "time travel" feeling when I get in. To be able to go and sit in 1969 with all of the looks, feels, and attention it gets is great. But to each their own.
As for the two wheels you posted above, I'd go with the one with less seams (Grant).

Ok, I have narrowed it down to two options. Their seems to be a slight difference, what are your thoughts?
I am going for the brushed aluminum look.

My 79 has power steering but it doesn't provide as much assist as I'd like. I've toyed with the idea of going to one of the big early wheels for this reason but I really like the look of the stock 79 wheel.

YES, YES, YES! I started driving in 1969, so I love driving my 72 for that very reason!

Be careful dealing with corvettemods. They can be "difficult."

I see lots of people swap wheels in the c3s some look good some look like they are are from a street rod others look out of some import tuner car,
Others like this wheel look like they are out of a 75 dodge custom van, this was in my 66, it almost got a fellow thrown out of old town cruise it upset him so badly,
The assclown he made of himself is still hilarious,
I loved its feel, tina thinks it should go in the 69, it likely will....lol

I actually like the look and feel of the stock wheel but I'm only 5'11". Many don't like the large C2 wheels but a modern wheel, while more comfortable, to me would look out of place. I love the wheel in my '66. It fits the time period.

NOPE, I'm with you, started getting cramps in my hands holding that stock thing. Now it's on the wall with all my other corvette posters.
I think I went with the Grant one, no issues/problems. Feels much nicer.
I also hated the stock seats in my 74. Felt like I was sitting on a piece of plywood with foam strapped to it.

It may take me some time to find my papers but to sell one of my vettes I had to change the steering wheel to a smaller diameter for the buyer.
It was a knock-off but in metric size it was close to 13.5 inches and out worked perfectly.
I'll be back asap.

I seem to remember it was from a mid-west retailer called "Smart Parts" but please let me have some time to find receipts.

Being on the younger side of C3 owners (35) I just can’t get comfortable with the size of the stock wheel. Feels cheep and my knees keeps hitting the damn thing when I am working the clutch, I do have the tilt tele option. I think I want to replace with a more modern thicker\smaller steering wheel.
I have searched around and cannot find any good instructions on how to swap a steering wheel any help would be appreciated. 72 coupe.

Grant (and other companies) have different styles, but that flat bottom will get you more clutch/knee room. Auto trans drivers don't need it as much as the "stir-it-yourself" guys, but every little bit helps.

Getting ready to pull the trigger
I am getting ready to pull the trigger on this Steering Wheel form Mid America Motor Works. It has a aluminum brushed center, 2.5in dish, and hand crafted leather for 99.99. I will post pics as soon as I receive the goods.

Advanced
Steering wheel size and style
I have been reading all the pro's and con's about steering wheels and have come to the conclusion that a Grant wheel is the way to go. The wheel on my 1972 is 14" and has the black "rebar" grip. I am looking for fatter smother grip AKA Grant style.
My current wheel (T&T) is black with the "rebar" grip and dished with split spokes. I think it should be original as it came with the car when I purchased it some 25 years ago.
Is this the correct wheel for my car ?
Rey S.

I don't quite understand your question. The "correct" one for your car is the one that came with it. Anything else will not be "correct" but may be an improvement and make it better for you to drive. Buy what works for you.
