I just can’t get used to the Steering Wheel
Being on the younger side of C3 owners (35) I just can’t get comfortable with the size of the stock wheel. Feels cheep and my knees keeps hitting the damn thing when I am working the clutch, I do have the tilt tele option. I think I want to replace with a more modern thicker\smaller steering wheel.
I have searched around and cannot find any good instructions on how to swap a steering wheel any help would be appreciated. 72 coupe.

Do you have the AIM? The AIM shows how the wheel was installed at the factory. Not a whole lot involved. Pull the horn cap; remove the horn contact; unscrew the wheel.
Any of the 78-82 14" leather wrapped wheels will bolt up.

A 13" wheel should give more legroom, but you really should have power steering since it will take about 30% more effort to drive into a parking space.

I will look at the AIM manual to find instruction on how to remove the wheel. I fortunately do have power steering , but have a small leek that needs attention.
Am I the only one who finds the steering wheel to be uncomfortable?

Grant is a company with a decent selection.
Many of the C3 race cars used to swap on the Pontiac Trans am Steering wheels. Like that was the preferred unit of John Greenwood and a few others, and they are being reproduced. They look a little meaner than like 78-82 wheels!

I had a local shop do a 78-82 wheel in leather matching my '71 dark saddle interior. Looks and works great. I agree the stock early steering wheels are too large. Felt like driving a bus.

If I had to replace my steering wheel, I would probably go with the Grant 791.

I've been happy with that one in my '72.
I had a 13" wheel in a '69 for a while but it started to block the view of the gauges.

I don't have tilt or telescopic steering wheel, nor do I have power steering. My wheel is big by modern standards, but necessary without PS. The good thing, it makes me keep my weight down so I can get my legs in under the wheel.

The factory 1977 tilt wheel was smaller in diameter, and thicker than the 69-76 wheel. It will fit your car.
I agree those early wheels are not sporty enough....for me. They were the wheels of that era, but go back to style of older cars and Cadillacs!. Its one of the many things I don't like about early C3 Corvettes.
It could be worse, you could have those ridiculously large steering wheels installed on C1 and C2 Vettes that looked like something off a cruise ship!

Options
Ok, I have narrowed it down to two options. Their seems to be a slight difference, what are your thoughts?
I am going for the brushed aluminum look.
Corvette Mods - $99.99
