Default I found the source of my parasitic battery drain.

I took my 79 l-48 to my mechanic for a tune up, he discovered that the op wired the choke hot to the battery. After he hooked the wired up through the ignition, the drain is now gone.

Heck of a good feeling isn't it? I'm with you, had a couple things draining me out for years... used to just disconnect the neg. battery and reconnect every time I drove. What a PITA. Thanks to the forum I fixed the issues this summer (bad courtesy light board, and a bad buzzer were my issues).

Yes it is a good feeling. He also cured my slow cranking after my car had been driven for a while.
