BTW is there a part # stamped anywhere on the springs? (if they were the original ones from the factory)

Here's an idea- not a cheap as cutting the coils- but I think for $600 a much better solution- adjustable height and could possibly improve the ride-

There was no part number stamped on the coil spring. They did have a green paper tag that you can buy from suppliers and put on the spring.

Guys what could cause this? Could the wrong size shock do something like this

Also is it just me or is the rear of his car actually quite low? (Maybe I'm just used to my gymkhana 4x4 height rear end....)

I agree with the others I have a 73 and mine sits down I bet you 4 inches lower. Right on the ground like you would expect a 45 yr old car to. Somebody installed different springs in yours

Hotchkis makes a lowering coil, I just bought a pair for my 73 from Vette Brakes for $80, and have a pair in my 68 Camaro, love the ride.

Doesn't look like Hotchkis makes anything for a vette.

Had drop springs in my Camaro, the car rode hard if there were bumps you knew it in a big way. Drop spindles with stock springs but coil overs for the best options for set up I believe.

That would be the VB&P Spring, which is why you can find it on the VB&P website, but not the Hotchkis website anywhere...

It's also why the Manufacturer tag on that VB&P website says "VBP"
It's also why when you click on "View all VB&P Products" on the website and then click on C2/C3 Corvettes, then springs, that spring shows up.
