I believe this is called the pole piece??? Does the 534 necessarily apply to a specific distributor. This came in a box of 435 distributor parts (coil and pulse amp and harness, pick up coil). Is the 435 specific to the big block or high HP engines? Thanks

the two parts in your picture are the pole piece and the weight base. The 534 may indicate that the weight base allows a maximum of 34 crankshaft degrees of advance. There appear to be more references on the NCRS forum but I cannt access them.
