Default VA Install - What to do with kick panel vents?

Should I just keep them hooked up so that the levers on the control panel won't flop around?

Hi H,
It seems to me that perhaps the only reason to NOT keep the kick panel vents functioning is IF the installation of the a/c air box and ducts means the bowden cables controls for the vent doors can't be routed correctly.
?

Alan

I decided to keep mine/rebuilt them and the cables.....there is something great about them when the temperature doesn't require the A/C to be on.

Hi, doorgunner!

Agree, and that is what I did, great to have fresh air if you want it and it did not seem right to have levers that do not do anything LOL's!

I sealed mine shut with RTV, insulated over them, and removed the levers. All they ever let in was hot air and it's a convertible anyway.
