Focus fans weren't keeping up with the summer heat and ac on. Car was running 217 sitting in traffic. Added some spals to go with the 5 year old stock replacement dewitts radiator. Kept the car between 199 and 201 on the test run in 90+degree weather. Cools even better with the hood open so i may have to look into some hood vents.
edit: well, i was mistaken. After a few more tests the 95+ heat the spals didn't keep up.

Spal fans didn't solve the overheating problem w/ac on and 95*+ out. I doubt weather will heat up to those temps again before next year. I did switch to a dewitts ls dual pass radiator before the coolerbweather with no change in temps. Had to clean some threads and remove metal shards from when threads were cut. Not very impressed with this one from dewitts.
Did some preventative work recently. Header heat shields, new trackspec hood vent (great looking product btw) and started sealing off my cai setup to good. IAT's got up to 206 at idle. I have a thread at ls1tech with some guys helping out there.
On with more pictures.
IAT's today were 160s while idling for about 25 minutes. definitely venting out some hot air. I could see the hot air venting out too.

I bought some abs off amazon and made a rain cover for the vent. Even though my filter isn't directly under the vent it'd be nice to keep rain off engine when i can. I doubt I'd stay in place while driving but it'll do.i did plastic weld some tabs underneath to help it stay on.

Not sure if anyone is posting attention to this lately.
I haven't updated this thing in a while....got what's left of the glovebox installed. These things lookedbpoorbfrom the factory. I thought someone hacked mine up in the past, went to buy a used on off ebay and well, that's just how they look. Oh well, at least i still have enough box area to still be functional. I still have to clean up the plastic welds and put light/switch in butits getting there.

I must have missed a bunch of updates, but the latest mods look great!
Can you post the details on the wheels?
Also, I've had luck in the past with 3D printing pockets for neodymium magnets, or you could even melt them into the ABS. Perhaps that is something to consider for your hood vent, if you want to drive with it installed. You may want to safety pin it from the backside, too, as it may still try to pull off.

WOW- Ryan!!!
Somehow I missed the updates.
All the subtle -well thought out/through mods REALLY make your car. You're definitely one of those guys that never says " it's good enough!!!"
As Bikespace said about magnets- I'd look at the "Magdaddy" ones- Summit sells them -great to add to an order to get you over $100 for the free shipping!!!
I'm staying tuned for future mods!!!

Speaking of "good enough"....or can't leave good enough alone (which I've been told a lot). Haha my late Christmas present came in. Coilover setup w/single adjustable qa1 shocks, upper/lower a arms and sway bar.
Quality looks great from vansteel. Clean welds, powdercoat is very smooth (looks painted), and nice machining on a arms.
Hopefully install isn't too bad.
I'll have alot of parts to sell off soon if anyone is interested. Qa1 single adj shocks, rebuilt stock a arms w/poly bushings, vansteel offset t arms, vb&p monoleaf w/10" bolts, dewitts direct replacement radiator, focus fans.

Thanks for the other comments guys. I've got a few other little projects in mind after I get the coilovers on.

Just updating this swap thread to a build thread. Coilovers going in during this corona commotion.
as you can see the vbp spreader bar doesn't work with the vansteel a-arms. I put a nut as a spacer in there temporarily.
so time to cut up
and cut down a bit and rewelded brackets back. Looks just fine.
Started breaking down the rear suspension while i was there i rebuilt the u half shaft u joints. Old joints were a bit worn. I've had the car for 12 years and have never changed them. All spicer flanges and 1/2 shafts.
Hit everything with a wire wheel and the some por15.

Bled the brake too.... this motive bleeder helped out well. I bought their universal kit which still didn't fit on top the wilwood reservoir to seal. The rubber part below the plate was slightly too small, just barely. Do i cut up to older rubber fender wheel liner that goes around the front a arms and used that to help seal..... worked great. Just fyi in case it helps anyone.

This is an epic dream build. Your skills are amazing. I can't believed you did everything on jack stands.

Rears are on. I ended up bending down the brake line tab on the t-arm and bent/rerouted my wilwood lines to to secure and make look clean. I didn't know there's an extra fitting to buy when using these but oh well. Made it work and looks nice and clean.
Ordered vansteel's offset anti sway bar and tow hook to top it all off. Plus is corona virus stay home work and money is at least going to an American company too!
Got it leveled finally and brought it to get aligned today. It's still low for most guys. Believe it or not it's right at 1" higher on all 4 corners.
