Are you using ethanol-free gas ?
There is finally a station not far from my house selling it, and wondering how your car performs with it.
Do you notice any performance differences? Anything at all different?
Is it worth driving 15 miles r/t to get some?
Thanks...

You should get better gas mileage. Your fuel system components will last longer. Only you can decide if that is worth your extra time and money.

5 mile round trip for me to fill up on pure gas. It solved my hot start issue. That crappy ethanol was boiling in my fuel line when I parked my car after driving on a hot day making the car really hard to start until things cooled off.

In my area it costs the same as medium grade ethanol-laced gasoline. The higher price is offset by increased mpg so there is a performance advantage. As other members said....it treats the engine "better".

When I can find it and it doesn't cost more than 10% above 'regular'. Gas with 10% ethanol gets about 5-10% worse mileage; so it's nice when 'all' gas is available and at a decent price. Otherwise, I just go with the normal juice.

I use it (non ethanol), but mix with Aviation 100L. Here in central Florida, there are WaWa and Race Trac stations popping up everywhere. Most all have a non ethanol pump. The signs out front showing fuel prices for the pure gas are illuminated in blue lighting as are the pump handles. Generally about 40 - 50 cents more per gallon. Mark

In central/upstate New York gas is $2.20 a gallon we have 87 ethanol free (20 cents more then 10% ethanol) and 91ethanol free (40 cents more) ethanol.
If its hot out I use 91/ethanol free and starting in late September till I put the car up for winter I use 91 ethanol free.

I ONLY run ethanol free gas in EVERY toy I have that has a Carb.
Vette, lawn mower, trimmer, boats, snowmobile, jetski, etc.
If not you will gum up the carb. eventually.
I had 5 of them all messed up one year. Learned the hard $$$ way.

I have only run ethanol free in mine.
If you can get it and it makes sense economically I would use the ethanol free gas.
Ethanol is a corrosive especially so due to it's affinity for water. It eats untreated metal and rubber, like the OEM rubber sections of our fuel system and the carb bowl. It might like to eat your diaphragm in the fuel pump and the accelerator pump as well.
In addition it can undergo phase separation which is when enough water in the air meets with the ethanol in your tank/carb it will settle out to the bottom creating a corrosion problem for you in those areas. If you DD your corvette then this would not be an issue. Most of us have them sitting for periods of time, sometimes long periods.
