Tried to track down a previous owner and with a single email apparently succeeded. This is my '69 now and what it looked like back in 1977. I know the sidepipes were added - not too worried about that. I have the hardtop in my barn.

Eventually I found what I thought was a fair match. I sent a message through a web contact form to a small business. That was a couple of months ago. Turns out it wasn't the right person but they were interested and somehow passed it along to other people with the same name. Imagine that - catching people acting decently!
It went through several hands before winding up at the right person.
This made my month and even made a dent in my natural cynicism.
Thanks and good luck to you too

I believe he owns the car now, the old picture was a previous owner.
I too would like some old pictures, we found a lot of damage when stripping the old paint from my '74. Also, someone swapped in a hot engine, and converted to four speed.

I had the title from '78 with the guy's name. Spent a while Googling, even looking in Zillow for the address and then searching through public records, newspaper articles, high school reunions etc.

I just got off the phone with my 72's previous owner....Very nice gentleman..answered all my questions and says if he runs across any old photos or paperwork he will send them my way.
