Default Late 69 with 70 Grilles?

Hope this is not a member's car but it seems sometimes owners make up stuff to justify previous modifications. I see that a lot with late 68's as well, especially regarding interior parts.

Hi aj,
Sure… the strike was in May, this car was assembled during August, and production continued through December…. but this car got 70 grills in St.Louis!
As you say… why not just cite the obvious…. someone modified it.
Regards,
Alan

I believe him and those wheels were really a very rare preproduction of the very limited aluminum wheels slated for '73. As he said in his description about the signals "not many got out this way but he has heard of a few." Right.

I like the 68 taillight treatment as well as the rear valance panel being molding into the fenders.....first bad sign the car is probably NOT an original sidepipe car.

Maybe I should email him and ask to trade those 70 grilles for some used 68/69 grilles, ya know, to make it more authentic!

You could replace those grills with 69 grills and sell the 70 grills and pocket about $1000.00. Nice 70 grills are pretty rare.

To the sellers credit he is asking a pretty low starting price.
