You are absolutely correct, and I stand corrected, embarrassed and apologetic. I can't believe I didn't verify the info first. I wanted so badly for it to be right.

Accept my apologies for my comment.

Nothing like an approaching hurricane to motivate a guy to clean out a three car garage to actually get three cars in there!

A hell of a "forcing function" as we say in my biz.

No problem.....I was hoping for a miracle, myself.

If the 155mph winds aren't enough, you have to worry about all the rain . Good luck all of you. stay safe and by all means secure those corvettes.

Unfortunately this hurricane is looking like Donna from 1960. She was a bad one, it is some of my early childhood memories. I was almost 7 at the time in Maitland. Lot of damage and no power for close to a week. Hopefully, this one will be better but I am fearful for ones that are not as prepared as they should be. Mark ( I am only 8 miles from Maitland now, guess I still like it here inspite of the big rat, Mickey.)

Its overcast, light breeze, wet from on and off sprinkles but actually really nice out,
This time sun night likely will be different story

I was gonna ride it out, but I'm in Pinellas Park and this thing is positioning itself to make landfall right near us AAAND gain strenght on its way there moreso than it was originally going to do AAAAND putting the east side of the hurricane eye right atop us... f' that.

"The absolute worst spot in a hurricane is on the dirty side closest to the eye of the storm, according to NOAA."

I'm headin to Jacksonville it seems how are you guys up there feelin about this?

Pretty calm so far in Orlando. Only a few windows open.... we`ll close up the rest of the shutters as conditions deteriorate later today. Most of our damage from "Charlie" was from trees, but we only have 2 of those left... (Charlie took out 4).
Fingers crossed!
