Taking the 20's off and putting the winters on?
Well, not really. I was chasing down a bad vibration in the rear and put the stock rallies on for some test miles. Yup, one of the 20" tires on the rear was bad.
But I figured I'd post a couple of pics of it as it sits with the 15's for now as well as a pic of my car with my buddy's C2 at a show yesterday before I found the bad tire. Let the debate begin. 15's or 20's? You know which way I'm voting.

The 20's are Standing out and do set the car appart, but I personally like 15 Inch rims as you can see on my car.... Thats just my personal taste since it looks classic. But from a resto mod Point of view your 20's look very nice. They really do stick out! It is amazing how just a set of wheels/rims can change the apperance of a car without any other modifications... It is like with women and their feet and shoes! :P

15 for me. The 20's remind me of the old Hotwheel toy cars... I liked Matchbox better. But, its personal taste....I don't like big wheels on ANY cars, including all the modern ones.
Yeah.....I know, the big wheels have better tire choices...so what.

That's an interesting setup you have. When I first saw your car I said "Nice '73" then I got to looking at it more closely and see you have a chrome bumper rear end that looks like it bolted to a rubber bumper car. What year is your car '74 or '75 and did you do the mod? Details, we need details.
I like it.......with the rally's of course.

Thanks. Super simple suspension mods. The car was equipped with Gymkhana suspension so I trimmed a full coil and a half out of the front (right at the limit for camber adjustment without offset A-arm shafts) and 10" spring bolts in the rear. The ride is still acceptable. I used stock shocks for now, but Bilsteins are on deck.

Yup there are other threads concerning this build here. Just search this site and use "chrome bumper conversion" as key words. There are a couple of us using this conversion as well as Don's personal car. And yeah, it has people scratching their heads when they walk around the car. I'm not trying to fool anybody, just modifying it to my taste. Nothing was done that the car can't be returned to stock in a weekend.
