Old Racer,
Yes putting the Air compressor outside sure makes it much easier to here the radio when inside.
Great looking shop.. I'm in the middle of adding 36' x 30' onto it.

Are you adding on to the side, or making it longer?

I'll chime on here, by garage is a mess right now, we have our house up for sale so the garage became a dumping ground.
I do have a large stainless steel sink, full size fridge and a couple of cabinets in there that you can't see in the third bay.
OP, Paint it NOW, once you move back in, you will NEVER move everything out again to finish it.
Trust me, It's been 11 years now and I can't remove everything from this garage anymore.
If we don't sell, I am building a big shed in the back yard to move all the non-car related stuff out. I'm drowning in here.

One of these days I will have a real "detached" garage but for now I have this. I have a 71 that is up next to bat for restoration.

Some really nice garages there guys!
I'm jealous of any garage with a lift. Might have to put one in someday.
Here's mine.
Wow! You should definitely put one in there(lift)
I honestly don't know why I waited so long, I am thinking about getting a third one! This picture shows part of both lifts.
One is a 10,000 and the other is a 20,000 that is 14' tall
It's organized too! Lol
And here's my detached one car.

My 4 post cost me just under 4K installed, bolted to the ground with a $600 rolling jack and drip pans included, this also included having my garage door raised and converted to torsion spring to bring it within 6" of the ceiling. I have about 10" ceiling and I could stack 2 convertible mustangs (certainly any vettes) easily. Best thing I ever did.

Rebar through the post with a good amount of concrete under it so they won't sink
Posts in
Top soil out and gsb moved in and compacted
Things are getting serious now
Half inch rebar tied in 2' grids
My trusty helpers
We poured it 7" thick
I had to hire a crew on pour day
We had a 12 hour window without rain
All finished, just give it a few more hours without rain
Framing in the rain
Roofing in the rain
Don't slip
Still pouring rain
Ahh we are dried in sort of
