I recently bought a small house in DeBary (Central Florida) and have been busy remodeling the place. It only has a one-car garage, but in order to maximize storage, I installed metal shelving I had saved for years. The best way to utilize available space is to go vertical, but you need good quality shelves to do so.

First thing was to epoxy the garage floor.

Followed by the shelving.

A quick trip to Lowe's yielded far more than the electrical supplies we went there for. They had a sale on toolboxes and, since one of the rolling carts had a dented drawer, they offered me an additional $100 off. So I bought the whole shebang for under $500. SCORE!

And now I have PLENTY of storage space plus a heck of a toolbox. Just have to get organized and move my '76 to its new digs next week!

Did you get the shelving at Lowe's? Looks very sturdy. What was the brand and approx. cost of one of the tall shelving units. Just built a 24 X 30 garage and sorely need shelving/storage.

They are strong shelves, and I've had them for at least 10 years. Ordered them for a business I used to own and kept some for myself after I sold the company. These are not the kind of garage shelving you find at a big box store.

A quick Google search shows that Global Industries sells identical units.

Good luck!

i worked on my workbench area, the work bench is my grandfathers the pegboard on the bench are three doors with shelfs on the inside. I always wanted my tools on a pegboard now I have them. Next up is a wooden cabinet for table saw storage and bike rack storage plus some shelves.

Zzzzzzzz...All tucked away until spring! I have big plans for this garage in the future - lots of space and will snag some of your ideas! We don't see much snow in Alabama but when it snows it's a mess!

One of the garages i rented, about 1971 i would think, fresh out of the service, my grandfather gave me his 47 HI..

Had to decide which side of the vehicle to work on so as to open which door, really tight fit...

Life was so much simpler then....

Here's a couple views of one side of my garage, The Hot Rod Grille. One pic shows the C3 with the hard top. The other view shows the soft top.

@ hot rod grille
Your garage in a whole other league. More of a museum, ts like going back in time, you must have days and days of work into that. So many details. It's insane.
