Mine is not very creative...

But, I can't count the times folks have looked at the plate and then asked me "What does your vanity plate mean?"

Here in the UK things run a little different to you folks. When you buy a new car you’re allocated an age-related plate and the prefixes change year-on-year to denote the year issued. Some combinations automatically generated can appear as initials & names and they become more valuable the better / closer they are.
Comic 1 for instance went for over £100k
VIP 1 similar
My V8 VET plate I have owned for maybe 20 years and I’ve had it on many cars finally having it on the C3 above. There’s a problem with it though! I had always thought it was first issued around 1930 but in fact it was first issued in 1980 and this is an issue as UK law dictates that you cannot put a newer plate on an older car as this could allow deception with people selling older cars as newer based on the plate year. I contacted our authority – the DVLA for clarification and they demanded that I remove the V8 VET plate and apply for an age-related-plate. When I told them, they had issued a transfer notice (Log Book) showing the V8 VET registration was approved they relented and allowed me to keep it as it was their error.
Black & silver are only allowed on pre-1973 vehicles. The norm is yellow or white with black letters.

I have a period correct plate on my '75. In the front I have this as a vanity plate. My son made it for me as a Father's Day gift a while ago.
