why not line it up with the car behind you? A c3 is like the same width as a Honda civic
this reliance on backup cameras is retarded. if you seriously cannot parallel park your C3 without backup camera sell it. or maybe the backup camera you buy comes with a nice set of lace panties for you to wear because you clearly aren't a man if you cant parallel park without a camera.

The rear view out the back of a C3 is limited and deceiving as is the front view, if you're not using it as a daily driver and learning how to judge the distances front and rear, it can be intimidating. You don't want to pull up to a curb stop and hit your front spoiler or curb rash your raised letter tires on the curb or go just a little to far in reverse and test out the urethane properties of your rear bumper.
There's plenty of places you can go online to get bashed, I just didn't think this was one of them.

Here's a current article from R&T. Even includes a mathematical formula.

Interesting fact..........
In the 1940s many roads were unmade and had two lanes, one in each direction. Drivers had to be aware only of traffic on their side and directly behind them (rear view). Due to this, most passenger vehicles with an internal rear-view mirror until the late 1960s had the passenger-side mirror only as an optional addition, as it was considered a luxury.

Drive your car.
Take it to autocrosses.
Become one with the car.
When you do these enough you "know" where the tires are and you can "feel" the location, just like an extension of your body.
If you can't, you haven't driven enough.
Get some large traffic cones, about 3 foot high. Find a large empty parking lot. Set 4 cones in front of your car to form the corners of the car in front. Set 4 cones behind your car to form the corners of the one in back. Leave 3 feet on each end.
Practice, practice, practice, practice,
As to back up cameras, they are no defense if you hit the other car. "I couldn't see it in my camera" or "My camera showed it was clear." All a camera is good for is to see what you hit when you hit it.
