Default Won't be using Eastwood epoxy anymore.

Painted the underside of my hood with eastwood epoxy. I usually use SPI but thought I would give eastwood a look. Well sprayed it yesterday and almost 24 hours later it still is tacky. Left it in the sun another 2 hours and still tacky. Well I started to peel it off with the razor method.
I just love jobs that should take 1 day and turns into 2 or 3 day jobs.
I won't be able to paint this again until later and put the hood on Friday.

And yes it was mixed as per instructions and used as per instruction and it wasn't sitting on my shelf for a year.

I believe the store brand paints such as Eastwood and Summit pretty much come from the same place. I have used the Summit brand paints and primers and have had good results with them. Maybe you just got a bad batch.

No. EW fills their own cans. They have a fabrication company making most of their spraying materials. I know this with firsthand information direct from the source!
I boycott EW for other reasons.

It was 80 degrees and sunny, no humidity when I did it. The stuff I scraped off that is in the garbage is still soft after 2 days.
