Incorrect rear exhaust tips as they should be round and rear quarters look incorrect?

Definitely looks like a 70-72' rear clip. Wrong Exhaust tips, flared fenders and backup lights in the inside lights on the tail panel. A rear or front clip replacement usually means the car was hit as some point. This is not always true however. I am not expert so if I can see all that at first glance I am sure our forum experts can pick it apart.

Thanks very much. I noticed wrong exhaust tips, and no document pockets on passenger dash, but that's the extent of my C3 knowledge...I guess the price reflects the cobbled-together car.

How can you assume a whole rear clip for just a change in the lower rear panel from round to square (that's just a matter of skillfull cutting and adding chrome trim). Using later taillights that incorporate the backup lights and the rear wheel flares are really not that difficult to patch in. I did all this twice back in 1998. I'm not sure about how things are currently but the was a fiberglass company in Warminster, PA that sold the flare kits and the rear valance.

it's a $25,000. Car and that's not any investment!
I don't trust this ad, it's hiding too much. Throughout my life I have owned lots of cars and trucks with more than 32,000 miles and none ever came close to looking like they could use a restoration!.
I dealt with this guy, his dealership several times with guys interested in their cars and it was never pleasant.

Same here, guessing they pulled the ad off the site and it redirects to a page with a ton of Corvettes. Came to that conclusion based on hovering over the link.
