Installed the plugs today, they we're abit different than the iron head plugs...
Also got a chrome lid for the master cylinder, started it up and it runs great
I have alot of snow outside so let it idle in the garage, and the fans works
They went on and they are really quiet, gonna be great, I'm not gonna hear them over the roar of the engine

Beautiful engine compartment stm. When my car gets to that point (way down the road), I hope it looks like yours. Simple and all business.
Can't wait to hear how you like the performance of your rowdy small block.

Great thread!! Got a '74 too and will definitely be doing an engine swap at some point. What made you want a 396? Just wanted to hit the 500hp mark?

Started polishing the car today, it was way more scratched and filthy in the paint than I thought but with some stuff from Meguiars its starting to look good again, lots of work to do yet but I have alot of snow left so no hurry...

Looking good maniac. I can only hope my car turns out as well. I think we all want to hear how your stroker engine works for you... streetable, putting the power down, etc. That motor puts out good numbers. Come on spring!

After a long time I finally have a car that drives
And it goes like a bat out of hell
Funny to have wheelspinn on 1.2.3 and still have power to go
