Shipping Carrier - Not Brokers
I am going to be shipping a 72 convertible from Florida to Pennsylvania and I have run into way too many brokers posing as carriers.
Do any of you have experience, the more recent the better, with good, reliable auto transport carriers that you would be willing to share with me?
I have only found one thus far called Passport Transport and they have yet to return my inquiry.
Kind of frustrating really.
Let me know and thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
David Howard

I made the seller deal with the transport logistics so I wouldn't get spam calls and emails for the next 3 years......

I have used this guy a few times. He has enclosed trailers and the price has always been very reasonable. Really nice people. He hauled my 72 from Northern Va to Greensboro NC last October. Always takes great care with handling my cars. Does quite a bit of transport throughout the east coast but will go anywhere. You deal with him directly.

Hi David, I've used brokers before, and 'named' carriers. I've used Intercity the last 3 times and will continue to do so. They're great. As my parents taught me, 'when you buy quality you only wince once'....
Best, Paul

These guys. Delivered my CJ5 from the mountains of Colorado to Michigan. He hauls around the Diners, Drive-in's and Dives Camaro. He had lots of stories. But I've also used brokers on 2 occasions and didn't have any issues.

Good input thus far, thank you.
I have received a quotation from Intercity and they are my preferred but they are booked through the end of May and cannot pick up until June 5th soonest so I am checking with others.
I have contacted Reliable Carriers and I am awaiting their quotation now as well.
I contacted Passport Transport but they haven't found it in their heart to return my inquiry.
This is tougher than I thought it would be.

Hi, David
It's been a while but I used Incongnito Express to ship a Harley from FL the Massachusetts several years ago. Enclosed trailer, he had several cars and the bike in there. He was very reasonable and I talked directly to the family that runs the business. Best of luck.

Robert K. had used a company to transport his 1967 Coupe from Washington State to Pennsylvania and I have selected them to move the 72 for me from Jacksonville, to Easton. Pickup will be by the 23rd with delivery to follow. Very good pricing. The company is called Autobox Express, LLC. Will let you know how it goes once the move it completed if you are interested.
Thanks again everyone.
David
